See this article :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iulius_Obsequens

"In the territory of Spoletum, a globe of fire, of golden color, fell to the earth gyrating. It then seemed to increase in size, rose from the earth and ascended into the sky, where it obscured the sun with its brilliance. It revolved toward the eastern quadrant of the sky."

Mch.... Do you think aliens from Uderzo's "Faling Sky" have somthing to do with this? ;-)

You should get some of Van Danikan's books. They are all about how aliens influenced ancient cultures. He's not a real crackpot like some of the others like David Eyck (who believes that the British royal family, president Bush and Stevie Wonder are children eating reptiles, and that he is the messiah predicted by the Jews), as Van Danikan has some compelling evidence - and a lot of it. Your on to something there, maybe it is the Tadsilweny or the Nagmas. A similar thing is described in 'Ezekial' in the old testament. LOL.

Maik I was hinting at that myself a little while ago, see my post here:

Perhaps Uderzo has read this work. :)
