I read that Jean-Yves Ferri will write the scenario for the next Asterix comic. No deadline is set, but I'm quite curious. I do not know him very well. Will he give a different touch, compared to the older Goscinny comics?
And of course, this reopens the question, what adventure will they have next.
In my personal opinion, the movies and stuff that have been created in between do not too much of a horrible job on Obelix, but they do on Asterix. I miss Asterix as he was during the Goscinny days. In the movies he lacks personality and he nags, while in the older comics, he was far more cunning and fun. If Ferri brings that Asterix back he has my never-ending support.
As long as he leaves out the aliens.
So what do you think? Will he do a good job on Asterix? And what adventure might he think up for them?

Re: New album in the make?
The names of the new creators of Asterix now seem to be public, although many google-found news items from the end of this September suggested a big deal of secrecy.
In a recent news item on a proposed tour of a recently developed Asterix attraction, we read:
No aliens have been mentioned.

"He [Uderzo] is very confident about it," said Magnac. "It will be published in 2013 – drawing a comic like this takes a long time to do."

Albert Uderzo introduces his team
Over the past few weeks, the newspapers have been full of an exciting bit of news: the revelation by Albert Uderzo of the names of his collaborators on the latest Asterix album! The comic book series, created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, will continue to delight its many readers! Reaching every corner of the globe, inciting impassioned commentary in online forums, this information has proven a real bombshell, reported on some occasions without due care: errors in the authors' names or roles, for example, and, in one instance, the television broadcast the picture of a brother instead the author himself… No doubt Obelix would say "The press are all crazy!"
Frédéric Mébarki and Jean-Yves Ferri are presented next, follow the link above for the full text. If you want to receive your own copy of the Missive in your mailbox, fill in the form at the indispensible Asterix site, see http://www.asterix.com/news/missive/ The hottest news in the Asterix universe for free!
The message ends asking us for a little patience:
It all looks highly promising! As readers, however, we will have to be patient as there remains a lot of hard work for this talented trio currently beavering away on this future album. So, as they say in the comic strips: To be continued…
